This Course focuses on helping our clients develop the skills associated with how to get paid for “Selling What You Know – To Who You Know”! It all begins with Understanding “WHAT You Know”. What it is that you sell – at your job or in your company. Consider what it is it that you are charging for? You may think of it as your core competency. The complement to this is Understanding “WHO You Know” How many people or companies you know of - who could benefit from what you know
By redefining What You’re Selling – Who You’re Selling It To – And the various ways you’re Getting Paid – you can move significantly further into the equation of being paid for your Knowledge – rather than your time. You want to consider defining what you do in such a way that you can sell it to the largest number of clients (or buyers) – at multiple locations and times – while avoiding the trap of being a “commodity provider”. It is said that John the Baptist required 4 years to prepare for his teaching…but then again I’m a slow learner. My epiphany began in 1973, when I was laid off from my first real, post-college job. This was not to be the last time – always due to forces beyond my control. Either the company was being sold, or my division was being cut back, or my commissions were too large and cost-reductions were in order. This eventually brought me to the realization that we are all self employed! During my journey, I have been an entry-level employee and a corporate president – have been an independent consultant, a real estate broker, a general construction contractor and a serial entrepreneur. Along the way my mentors and the school of hard knocks have taught me much of what wasn't’t in my curriculum during my USC graduate program days. Specifically, personal and financial success is achieved by offering what we know – to those we know that need and want that knowledge – and doing so in a way that we receive appropriate compensation based upon results (benefits delivered) rather than process (hours worked). The “Maximize Your Return On Knowledge” course experience will be different for each student. However, at least one result is universal. As you expand your understanding of how what you know is so much more than your last (or current) position – you will be able to identify your inner core competency and your life passion. So let’s begin you own path to discovery of self-empowerment and personal growth! For More Information contact: Rich Muller @ 952-949-1260
